PHILADELPHIA, PA (November 3, 2015) – Whether they’re looking for something topped with hand carved porchetta or thick-cut bologna and dill pickles, basketball and hockey fans will have plenty of options to sink their teeth into at the eight professional basketball and hockey arenas across the United States and Canada, where Aramark (NYSE: ARMK) is the food and beverage provider.
Each season, Aramark’s culinary team analyzes fan feedback and local food trends to create an innovative and savory menu for the start of the hockey and basketball seasons. This year, Aramark is celebrating National Sandwich Day, November 3, with new sandwiches at the NHL and NBA arenas it serves (AT&T Center, Canadian Tire Centre, CONSOL Energy Center, Pepsi Center, Quicken Loans Arena, SAP Center, Verizon Center and Wells Fargo Center).
Some of the sandwiches being introduced this season include:
AT&T Center:
- Southwest Chicken Sandwich- Gourmet Bun topped with Fried Chicken, Pepper Jack Cheese, fresh Jalapenos & Chipotle Crema
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich- A Big Scoop of Delicious vanilla ice-cream squeezed between two giant fresh baked chocolate chip cookies.
Canadian Tire Centre:
- Bert’s Big Club- House spiced chicken breast, crispy bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato & chipotle mayo on a on a rustic ciabatta bread.
CONSOL Energy Center:
- Hat Trick Hoagie- Choice of Meatball, Cheesesteak, or Italian.
Pepsi Center:
- Gourmet BLT with peppered bacon, lettuce, tomatoes and bacon ranch sauce.
Quicken Loans Arena:
- Fabio Salerno’s #TheMeatballer- Salerno family meatballs, Lago marinara sauce, shredded provolone and sweet banana peppers on a freshly baked sesame seed bun.
- Fabio Salerno’s Grilled Cheese Bars & Roasted Tomato Dipping Sauce- Roasted tomatoes, gruyere and organic white cheddar on sourdough bread with a roasted tomato dipping sauce.
- Fabio Salerno’s Sicilian Panini- Ciabatta pressed handheld sandwich with capicola, sopressata, salami, provolone, arugula and pickled onion.
SAP Center:
- Fresh, Hot Carved Sandwiches- Fresh roasted tri tip or turkey served on an onion or Talera roll.
Verizon Center:
- Bad to the Bone’s Pulled Pork Sandwich- Smoked pork shoulder tossed in a Carolina BBQ sauce, served with coleslaw and cornbread on a Kaiser roll.
- Sliders Four Ways- Chicken parmesan, meatball, hamburger and grilled chicken sliders.
Wells Fargo Center:
- Chopped Brisket Special- House smoked brisket, Vermont cheddar, mustard aioli and hot Italian giardiniera, on a long roll.
- Homemade Hot Roast Pork with long hot peppers on a Liscio Roll.
- Porchetta Sandwich- Hand carved, homemade Italian porchetta on an Amoroso seeded roll.
- South Philly Chicken Cutlet with broccoli rabe and provolone, on an Amoroso seeded roll.
Among its eight arena partners, Aramark provides food and beverage, retail and/or facilities services to fans of six National Hockey League teams and five National Basketball Association teams – Cleveland Cavaliers, Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, Ottawa Senators, Philadelphia 76ers, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins, San Antonio Spurs, San Jose Sharks, Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards. Aramark will be the exclusive food and beverage provider at the Edmonton Oilers’ new arena, Rogers Place, opening in 2016.
